Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Later App ("the app", "service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

Description of Service

Later App is a mental wellness and self-care application that provides:

• Mood Tracking: Log and track your emotional state over time
• Journaling: Guided and free-form journal entries for self-reflection
• Wellness Activities: Breathing exercises, meditation, and grounding techniques
• Progress Tracking: Streaks, badges, achievements, and personal statistics
• Stress Relief Games: Interactive activities for relaxation
• Scheduled Messages: Wishes, reminders, and future messages to yourself or others
• Chat: Private messaging with other users (authenticated users only)
• Guest Mode: Explore the app without an account with limited save capabilities

Guest Mode & Account Creation

Guest Mode

• You may explore the app without creating an account
• Guest mode allows up to 3 saves per feature (mood, journal, reflection, gratitude)
• Guest data is stored locally on your device and is not backed up
• Some features (chat, cloud sync, unlimited saves) require account creation
• Guest data cannot be recovered if the app is uninstalled or device is lost

Account Creation

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You may sign up with email/password or through Google authentication
• One account per person; do not share accounts

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Later App lawfully and respectfully. You must NOT:

• Upload illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or hateful content
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
• Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users through chat or any feature
• Use the service for commercial purposes without authorization

Your Content & Responsibility

• Ownership: You retain ownership of all content you create (journal entries, mood logs, messages, etc.)
• License: By using the app, you grant us a license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the service
• Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your content. Do not include sensitive information you do not wish to store digitally
• Backup: While we implement security measures, you should maintain your own backups of important content
• Deletion: You may delete your content at any time through the app. Deleted content is permanently removed within 30 days

Scheduled Messages & Reminders

• You may schedule wishes, reminders, and messages for future delivery
• The app will attempt to deliver messages at the scheduled time, but delivery is not guaranteed
• You can edit or cancel scheduled messages before they are sent
• Recipients must be willing participants; do not spam or harass via scheduled messages
• Message delivery depends on recipient email availability and spam filters

Not Medical Advice

Service Availability & Changes

• Availability: We strive for 24/7 availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, or technical issues may cause temporary downtime
• Updates: We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time with or without notice
• Free Service: Later App is currently free to use. We reserve the right to introduce premium features or subscription plans in the future
• Beta Features: Some features may be in beta/testing and may not work as expected

Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that:

• The service will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Defects will be corrected
• The service is free of viruses or harmful components
• Results obtained from the service will be accurate or reliable

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Later App and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or emotional distress, arising from:

• Your use or inability to use the service
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Service interruptions or errors
• Any user conduct or content

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in abusive or harmful behavior
• Provide false information during registration
• Have not used your account for over 2 years (after email notification)

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete Account.

Privacy & Data Protection

Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. Please review it carefully.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Significant changes will be notified via the app or email. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
